I took this sweet black Persian kitten from a lady that did not want him. I've had him for a year now, and he's a fabulous cat. Very laid back, great with dogs, cats and kids, but he does pee outside the litter box. I've had him to the vet numerous times, changed food, changed litter, moved litter boxes, gotten more litter boxes, gotten pheromone plug ins....all to no avail. I'm thinking he doesn't like it when other cats use the litter box, so maybe he'd be better in a home with no other cats. He's got a really great personality, and he's absolutely beautiful, but I can't seem to help the peeing problem.

Rescue Me ID: 14-12-01-00070Vanellope (female)

Persian    Age: Adult

Personality: Low Energy
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Vanellope was surrendered by her owners, as they no longer wanted her and had put her outside where the neighborhood children had been abusive towards her. We rescued her from a kill shelter, where she was turned in. She is a sweet girl, but a little skeptical at first. She's not sure who to trust, but once she knows she is safe, she stays right by you and looks for love and attention. She has a very lay back disposition and is quiet. She doesn't seem to be afraid of dogs, she is indifferent to other cats. I would think she might be afraid of young children so she would be better off in a home with older children or adults. She has ... (Read More)been through a lot and certainly deserves a forever home where she will be loved and cherished. This little girl has been through more then most, in the short time we've had her, she has had a hernia repair (from her spay surgery), stitches from being cut when her mats were being removed, she has been treated for a URI (from the shelter) and she is scheduled to have a dental!!! She needs a wonderful home!!! (Less)
